Home Sweet Home

We believe we are home today because of your faithful prayers! It's amazing to think that just 2 days ago Owen looked like this:

A few hours after surgery

Today he was sitting up, clapping, and smiling, looking so much happier:
Two days after surgery

We are all relieved to be home! Owen was so tired of all the poking, prodding, wires, and medicine.

Right now, both Clara and Owen are sleeping soundly in their own beds. What a wonderful, peaceful feeling!

That's great news! Thanks for posting these updates.

(Oh, and by the way, Owen does look very much like a younger version of-- oh, wait, you've probably heard that one before, never mind.) :-)

Coming home....a little taste of heaven. Praying for your strength. I'm learning what it means that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Part of that means living in the moment and savoring the little things. When we are grateful for warm sheets, windows and the ability to move we open ourselves to receive God's joy. With that joy comes great strength. So, I'm praying that in these maintaining, care-giving, plodding times you will find that supernatural power to praise God for little things. Allow His joy to be your strength. God is good.

Love,
Caroline

We rejoice with you that you're home. We're here for you as needed as Owen journeys towards complete recovery. Thank you for letting us be part of your support system. We celebrate God's power and goodness with you!

Dear Lord, thank you for showing your grace and favor to Owen and all of our family. We can't thank you enough. We will continue to lean hard on you to carry us through as Owen heals completely. You are the eternal God and our refuge, and underneath are your everlasting arms. Please continue to cradle Owen in those strong, loving, healing arms. And help us rest in them as well. You have been and always will be Emmanuel, "God with us." You are our ever present help in times of need. Thank you. In Jesus' strong and mighty name, amen.

Hoorah for God! Hoorah for our brave grandson Owen! And hoorah for Owen’s loving and courageous parents! Hoorah for Clara, his big sister. She was a trooper, too. Hoorah for the medical team that God used to care for Owen. And a big hoorah for EVERYONE who prayed. You are a tremendous blessing to all of us. Thank you for your priceless gift of prayer.

"The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad." Psalm 126:3

With our love and prayers,
Grandma Tea and Papa Harris

Hooray! What a truly amazing contrast. Peter wanted to reach into the computer and give Owen a big hug.

Sending hugs your way,
