Recovery Update

Owen is making good progress in his recovery. They have removed his breathing tube, so he is off the ventilator and breathing normally on his own--a significant milestone. His heart rhythm is improving as well. He is understandably quite fussy at times, but is mostly sleeping.

I hope that you guys and your families feel like you can sigh a sigh of relief tonight. And because I know you are still in the midst of a lot with the recovery, I am still praying. God has been so good today. I hope that in the quiet of your hospital room, you can both find peaceful (though I am sure, interrupted!)sleep tonight. Give some little tube free part of Owen a little squeeze from The Littles for us! We love all of you!

"Father, sustain this family with your strength. You say that Your joy is our strength. Give Jon and Amy the supernatural ability to see something joyous today and carry them through this on Your power. Watching someone we love struggle is so hard but we cling to the fact that You are good and in control. Give Owen healing and peace and rest. Amen."

Praying throughout the day.
Love,
Caroline

I heard a song at women's retreat and thought of Owen immediately.
"I have a maker. He formed my heart. Before even time began, my life was in his hands." Praise God for Owen, his recovery, and his family. May he grow to be a man after God's own heart! Heather Fisk
