Story of a similar heart surgery

The Children's Hospital web site has a story about a baby named William who had an operation very similar to what Owen will be having. Here is the link:

What a great webpage. I have Owen's picture up on my desktop. I am praying for him daily. I have a friend who works at Children's Hospital and I'll ask her to introduce herself to you when Owen's there. She speaks to how "routine" these surgeries have become. I know you are in good hands and Good Hands.
Blessings, Caroline

I love this blog and this story was so touching. I am praying for you all and I've asked the women in my online group (it's called Virtuous Women Wanabees) to pray for Owen also. I know God is watching over him and will take good care of him.

We'll be praying for you guys as you go through this process. Thanks for providing the info to give us an idea of what it will be like. Let us know if there's anything we can do, and we pray for God's protection and healing in Owen!

What the doctors can do is amazing, I have a niece who was just through a two very serious surgeries just a month ago and is now making a fantastic recovery. She and the doctors both expressed they were upheld by the prayers of the family and their friends. We will pray. Hold on tight.

Fabulous job on the blog! We have our friends, family, church, women's Bible study, and small group praying.

On of my favorite verses says, "The Lord is my strength and my song." Ex 15:2. May the Lord be your strength and put a glorious song in your hearts.

Helen and I made and passed out, at her Bible study and mine, about 40 pictures of Owen with his original schedule on the backside. The men I meet with each Thursday are praying and asking for updates. The doctor's report as seen in Lydia's transcription was VERY encouraging. We are praying daily and rejoicing that God is in control. We are believing Owen will have a long and normal life. Praise be to Jesus, our Divine Healer!

Please know that many, including ourselves, are praying Owen and the whole family through this surgery. God has something great for Owen in his life and he will look upon this as part of "his story"! May God's grace see you through these next weeks and month and may we all find ourselves first trusting and second praising God for His healing power and goodness.

With love and prayer,
Lynn and Bruce Reid
